Sunifiram is a newly minted ampakine nootropic with strong shared resemblance to the original nootropic, Piracetam. Sunifiram is an entirely synthetic derivative of the racetam family of drugs, and has a similar mechanism of action in the brain to many other molecularly related compounds, such as Nefiracetam (for how it affects the hippocampus.)

Piracetam is the original racetam, the prototype nootropic, and was the first official “smart drug” ever created. Developed in the mid 1960’s, Piracetam has since generated dozens of spin off nootropics, including five other racetams (Aniracetam, Oxiracetam, Pramiracetam, Phenylpiracetam, and Coluracetam), the ampakine nootropics (Noopept, Sunifiram, and Unifiram), and additional stimulant nootropics, hell bent on increasing overall cognition and mental performance.
